Operation Manager
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
• Managing factory operations involving welding, machining, assembly test and finish, maintenance, scheduling and materials.
• Developing operational strategies and execution plans to reduce inventories, reduce cost, improve availability, improve quality and improve employee satisfaction and performance.
• Performing on-going evaluation of work loads and assisting Group and Section Managers in solving
poblems.
• Ensure maximum utilization of critical assets and effective operation to meet production schedules.
• Provide guidance for future manufacturing technology implementation
• Strong Involvement in the S&OP (sales & Operations Planning) process to make sure the plant can meet its commitments
• Initiates and conducts process improvement dialogs with Group Managers, Section Managers, Team Leads and Team Members.
• Drives root cause analysis and resolution on all forms of loss, i.e., safety, quality, production.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
• College degree and/or considerable company experience with solid business and technical management skills.
• MBAisa plus
• 6Sigma Black Belt and experience is a plus
• Ability to work in a high velocity global manufacturing company especially with highly visible start-ups
• Proven track record at applying Lean Manufacturing processes, managing/reducing costs and improving operation efficiencies
• Ability to work effectively with global process partners and/or supporting functions and business units
• Strong technical understanding of manufacturing welding, machining, assembly), and material selection
process.
• Good understanding of equipment
• Eight to twelve years of progressively responsible jobs related experience with at least 3 years' experience as leader of leaders.
• Experience working in a fast environment for a global company, with responsibility for implementation of green field and large capital improvement projects
